Microbusinesses Talk Funding With The Association for Enterprise Opportunity

Judy Hackett, CMO of Dun & Bradstreet Emerging Businesses, discussing access to capital for small and microbusinesses.

Small business leaders and owners met to discuss funding options last week in Philadelphia and got a nice surprise from a member of Hillary Clinton’s campaign team.

Wednesday, July 27, 2016, The Association for Enterprise Opportunity held a champagne brunch with Dun & Bradstreet and Kiva to talk about the state of microbusiness in the US and to showcase how they are planning on helping micro and small businesses. Toward the end of the event, Rhett Buttle, the Business Outreach Director for the Clinton Campaign, surprised the group with an appearance. Buttle hoped to gain insight into how his team could better engage small and microbusiness owners, and promised them a full small business platform from Team Hillary in the weeks to come.

Also at the event was the CMO of Dun & Bradstreet Emerging Businesses, Judy Hackett, who talked about access to capital for small and microbusinesses. Dun & Bradstreet’s Access to Capital Initiative and Private Capital Access Index, done in conjunction with Pepperdine University, aim to shed light on the challenging state of lending, as well as provide education and resources for businesses struggling to get funding.
